If I cancel, do I lose access right away?

No. Canceling turns off auto-renewal, but you keep full access to your current plan until the end of the billing period you already paid for. For example, if you cancel partway through a monthly cycle, you'll keep subscriber access until that month's renewal date, after which your plan won't renew.
